Squirrels
There are several species of squirrels in Ontario. Commonly we see black squirrels, grey squirrels, and red squirrels in rural settings. Squirrels are a small agile mammal with excellent climbing and chewing abilities. These abilities give them the tools to breaks into homes and business with relative ease, and because squirrels are scattered horders they can be responsible for a substantial mess from their food and feces.
Squirrels can have up to 2 litters per year containing from 1-5 babies. It is imperative that squirrels and their young be removed as their chewing can cause serious damage to hydro and phone wires, roof shingles, insulation, soffit, fascia and siding.
